2025 has been a defining year for Equitix Management Services, marked by major strategic milestones, complex project delivery and continued investment in people, partnerships and performance. As a leading provider of management and asset services across critical infrastructure, EMS has continued to support infrastructure that delivers essential services, social value and long-term sustainability.
Delivering a once-in-a-generation infrastructure programme
The most significant appointment of the year was EMS’s role as Management Services Provider for the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP). Delivered by Cascade Infrastructure on behalf of United Utilities, HARP is a landmark £3bn programme designed to future-proof one of the UK’s most critical water supply routes, serving 2.5 million people across the Northwest.
Formed by STRABAG, Equitix and GLIL Infrastructure, Cascade Infrastructure is delivering a nine-year construction programme followed by a 25-year operational phase. EMS provides a full suite of integrated management services, including governance, financial management, health and safety, environmental and quality assurance, contract administration, commercial oversight and stakeholder engagement.
HARP represents a major milestone for EMS, demonstrating our ability to deliver independent, high-quality management services on some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes, working in close collaboration with sponsors, delivery partners and the wider supply chain.
We are pleased to see growing demand for an Equity Agent, a resource that sits above the asset to coordinate the decision making of multiple shareholders invested into mega infrastructure. Our data driven service is essential to collaboration across the Renewable market and beyond. Our work in the administration of holding structures complements this move to a new area of the value chain.
Strengthening leadership in renewable energy
A key strategic development in 2025 was the acquisition of Bridge Wind Management, a specialist in onshore and offshore wind asset management. This acquisition significantly enhances EMS’s renewable energy capabilities, bringing deep technical, commercial and operational expertise into the business.
Post-acquisition, EMS manages a combined renewable portfolio of approximately 8GW of power generation. This includes wind assets across the UK, around 20 solar assets totalling 180MWp, and offshore transmission assets such as Seagreen and Triton Knoll. Together, these assets supply clean electricity to over 2 million homes and play a vital role in supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
The integration of Bridge Wind Management has progressed at pace, with both businesses aligned around shared values, long-term stewardship and a commitment to high-quality service delivery across the energy transition asset class.
A diverse and resilient infrastructure portfolio
Throughout 2025, EMS continued to deliver management services across a broad portfolio spanning renewables, healthcare, education, social housing, transport and street lighting. Highlights included ongoing management of the Tuscany Hospitals Project in Italy, one of the region’s most advanced healthcare concessions, as well as continued support of offshore transmission assets, schools, university accommodation and social housing projects across the UK and Europe.
EMS delivers services across the full lifecycle of infrastructure assets, and 2025 was no exception. During the year, the team demonstrated strong capability across greenfield project delivery while further strengthening its origination credentials, successfully supporting clients from bid stage to award and mobilisation.
Our work is underpinned by strong partnerships with clients, contractors and operators, including United Utilities, STRABAG, EQUANS, Amey Ventures Investments, EDF, InfraRed Capital Partners, Kyuden Group, Foresight and multiple public sector stakeholders.
Recognition, people and community impact
The breadth and quality of EMS’s work in 2025 was recognised through multiple industry awards and shortlists across SPV management, ESG, operational excellence and community impact. These accolades reflect not just strong technical delivery, but a consistent focus on collaboration, innovation and long-term value creation.
People remain central to our success. In 2025 we welcomed new colleagues across the business, supported early-career professionals through our internship programme, invested in leadership development and continued to foster a culture built on partnership, excellence and trust.
Looking ahead
As EMS moves into 2026, we do so with momentum and confidence. The scale and complexity of projects such as HARP, alongside our expanding renewable energy platform and diversified infrastructure portfolio, position EMS strongly for the future.
We remain focused on delivering consistent, trusted, independent management services that enable infrastructure to perform over the long term – protecting value, upholding governance and supporting communities with sustainable infrastructure.
