Tilbury Green Power is a fully operational 41.6 MWe (net) waste wood biomass plant located in the Port of Tilbury, approximately 25 miles east of London. The plant diverts around 275,000 tonnes of construction and household generated waste wood from landfill each year generating around 300,000 MWh of baseload electricity.
The generation of renewable baseload electricity and diversion of waste from landfill prevents over 300,000 tonnes of fossil based CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere each year.

The 100% shareholding of Tilbury Green Power Limited was acquired by the ‘Lakeside’ consortium of Equitix and Greenvolt in July 2021.

EMS is overseeing the significant boiler upgrade works.
