EMS has been appointed to deliver full MSA services to the West Yorkshire Police project, commencing 3 May 2024.

Equitix is the sole investor in the project which is spread across three locations in West Yorkshire and has a combined GIFA of 34,000m2. The Project comprises Wakefield District HQ which has 35 custody cells, Leeds District HQ which has 40 custody cells, and Wakefield Training Hub which includes a public order training facility, a driver training unit block, a firearms training block including firing ranges, and an armoury. The building contractor is Tilbury Douglas, FM services are provided by Mitie and the Senior Lender for the project is Aviva Commercial Finance Ltd.

The contract was awarded following a competitive tender process and will be delivered from our regional office in Leeds city centre.
Jack Fowler, EMS Director commented:
‘Adding the West Yorkshire Police project to our stable achieves a longstanding objective of the EMS Leeds office, which was established in 2019. All three facilities are well known in the area, and the opportunity to manage this project brings a certain amount of prestige to the team; a jewel in the crown if you like, to what is a fast-growing pool of social infrastructure projects under management in the Yorkshire region.’
