EMS commenced MSA delivery to the Kirklees Social Housing Project during January 2025, providing operational and financial management services; monitoring and driving performance improvement through delivery of KPI’s, statutory compliance testing, site presence and building strong long term relationships. The partnerships we foster are crucial to ensuring we consistently deliver throughout the life of our contracts.
The Project achieved practical completion in 2014 with a capital cost of £69m.
It comprises three Extra Care sites with a combined total of 140 beds across the sites. The Extra Care units are self-contained one-bedroom flats, each site with a restaurant facility, communal lounge and dedicated hairdresser/beauty area. In addition to the Extra Care, the project (which is spread across 23 sites in total) also includes 200 one and two-bedroom general needs flats. Services and delivery of the project is handled both locally and from our regional team in Leeds.
EMS is particularly experienced in the management of social housing projects and is recognised for its expertise in the social infrastructure sector. Our national and regional teams ensure the provision of foresight, dedication and consistent on-site presence, fostering relationships with all stakeholders throughout the duration of our contract.
Working with Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council, Pinnacle Group and Local Care Providers in Extra Care Units providing high calibre accommodation for vulnerable people whilst forming lasting partnerships for the long term in the West Yorkshire region. This complements the work executed at our other Extra Care Sites in North Tyneside.
Our dedicated social housing teams, across the UK and Ireland have supported numerous sites including the hugely successful Brunswick (Manchester) now in its tenth year; Grove Village and Miles Platting also in Manchester; Swarcliffe Social Housing in Leeds, the Irish Social Housing (Bundle 2); Brockley (SE London); Canning Town (SE London); Lambeth ( London) and Chrysalis in Kent.
